I speak fluent English, but my mother tongue is Lithuanian. Although I know next to nothing about it, I am quite proud of being Lithuanian. As far as i know, I am 100% Lithuanian. I was born in Šiauliai, Lithuania, and I was adopted, brought here to the United States when I was three. I don't know much about my heritage, or my roots, but I hope to learn about them someday. I know so little, I've actually just learned I've been butchering the pronunciation of my hometown all this time..I do not speak my mother tongue, but I very strongly yearn to someday, possibly during, or after college, and learn more about my roots, where I came from, and what it means to be Lithuanian. Even when I can count to ten in Lithuanian, i have such a sense of pride in doing so.
